Opera Night: Opus #123, January 29th,2020

Join us for our first opera night of the decade, at Servino on January 29th, at 6:30pm!

Presented by our Maestro Robert Ashens and West Coat Opera, Opus No. 123 will feature another a duo of impressive singers! Soprano Eileen Meredith will be performing alongside Baritone Bradley Kynard, for an enchanting evening. Having performed together previously, this voice duo sings with almost magical energy!

Soprano Eileen Meredith, a Washington, D.C. native, is a Bay Area favorite on the operatic and concert stage, and in cabaret venues. She has often collaborated with the Maestro, particularly with Island City Opera, for which she is Executive Director, and co-founder.

She has performed numerous roles, such as Norina in Don Pasquale, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Mimi in La Boheme, and Cio-Cio San in Madame Butterfly, to name a few, and last season produced and performed Magda in Puccini’s LA RONDINE. She has performed with the San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Symphony, Bracebridge Dinners at Yosemite, and countless other venues and groups.

She has recorded soundtracks for movies and games at Skywalker Ranch. Eileen has served as music director for musicals such as Annie, Anything Goes, and Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights. She is happy to spend the evening at Servino's.

Bradley Kynard, baritone, is no stranger to Bay Area audiences. Kynard recently performed as baritone soloist in Carmina Burana with Golden Gate Symphony and as a guest artist with SF Conservatory of Music. He created the role of Don Ramiro in (Xochitl and the Flowers) with Opera Parallele and also performed in the company's production of (Trouble in Tahiti) in the Jazz Trio. He also premiered the role of Lazarus (Voyage of Mary Magdalene) and made his San Francisco Opera debut as Daggoo in (Moby Dick). His Opera Academy of California debut was as Ramiro (L'heure Espagnole).

Other engagements include performing with Opera San Jose, with West Bay Opera and with Mendocino Music Festival. Having performed the role of Arsamene in Handel's (Serse) with The Handel Opera Project, Mr. Kynard is looking forward to performing the title role in Handel's (Tamerlano) with the company in Winter 2020 as well as returning to Island City Opera to perform the role of Lawrence in (The Wreckers) Spring 2020. Kynard has performed with the San Francisco Opera Chorus for the past 13 seasons.

Join us for the opportunity to enjoy these two wonderful performers!

The evening will also include a 4-course dinner menu, paired with selected wines.
