Opus 121 at Servino is November 13th, 2019
Opus 121 will feature returning performer Bass-Baritone Don Hoffman and frequent guest Soprano Paige Patrick, in a special voice duo performance. The music will be accompanied by our signature multi-course, paired dinner, on November 13th, at 6:30pm.
Soprano Paige Patrick is both a dynamic performer and a dedicated teacher. A native of Texas, she holds a BM in Music Education from Texas State University and an MM in Performance from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She has an extensive musical background ranging from jazz to choral and opera.
During the course of her career, she appeared multiple times with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. She also performed in numerous events in the Knoxville area with Pellissippi State Community College, where she served as Liberal Arts faculty from 2010-2014, also lecturing in Music Appreciation and teaching private studio voice lessons for majors and non-majors. Teaching has always been a big part of her career and although she opted to teach privately after spending some time teaching in schools, Ms. Patrick has a passion for working with youth and aims to build up middle and high school choral and musical theater programs.
Don Hoffman, bass-baritone, has been praised for his "handsome, suave and confident" presence across repertoire that includes opera, oratorio and new works. A native of New Orleans, he graduated from Amherst College where he was active in numerous choirs, studied vocal performance at Loyola University.
He lived in Paris, where he was a frequent guest soloist with the Paris Choral Society, performing works by Handel, Rossini, Saint-Saëns and Susa and participating in the Festival de Musique Sacrée in Rocamadour. He moved back to Los Angeles, where he was a featured vocalist with the popular Angel City Chorale and joined that ensemble for the world premiere of a new composition by Grammy Award-winning composer Christopher Tin at Carnegie Hall. He is a frequent performer on Bay Area stages, and we are always happy to have him perform at Servino.
